The Globetrotters was a group of session singers who made
up the group. Meadow Lark Lemon was the only real Globetroter
to be in the group. Written by Neil Sedaka & Howard Greenfield,
produced by Jeff Barry with music supervision by the great
Don Kirshner, this is from the album "The Globetrotters"
(Kirshner Records), music from the Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning
cartoon series about the magnificent Harlem Globetrotters,
on CBS. Don Kirshner served as music supervisor for both the
series and the record. Two singles were generated from this onetime
release, a cover of the Neil Sedaka tune "Rainy Day Bells" with
former Cadillac J.R. Bailey on lead vocals.
