Paul Albert Anka was born July 30, 1941 in Ottawa, Ontario,
Canada. "Diana" is one of the best selling 45s in music
history, written in 1956 at the age of 15 by Paul about his 18-year-old
neighbour Diane Ayoub, whom he had a crush on. His first American TV
appearance was on American Bandstand in 1957, where he sung his soon to
be number 1 hit "Diana"
