The Danleers

The Danleers were a quintet hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Jimmy Weston was the lead singer, the group also included Johnny Lee, Nat McCune, Willie Ephraim, &Roosevelt Mays. The group was named after their manager, Danny Webb, who wrote their most famous number, "One Summer Night". The track was originally released as being by The Dandleers. The Danleers failed to have another hit, breaking up in 1959. Today the member are Bill Carey, Robert Mirra, Richard Greene, Joe Hayes, and Jimmy Smith is the musical arranger for the group.
